The 1st part of the Poet At Heart collection is a set of audio journal entries delving into the life of MilkDrop. Encompassing the raw emotions, struggles, and celebrations that occured throughout the two year process of creating these albums. D Sides, eventually evolved and created a cohesive synopsis of that time frame all while holding an introspective vibe.. Sparking its’ own identity separate from the upcoming Poet At Heart LP, D Sides, holds an underlying story of life, love, and self reflection in just seven songs. Solidified in the message is the fact that there is a poet inside of all of us.
Aloe Park, originally released as a collaborative effort between Kansas Emcee Approach and Ohio Super Producer Ill Poetic in 2010, has been revamped by a slew of talented Producers and re-released just in the time for the holiday season. Being gone without releasing any projects for nearly 2 years takes a toll on you mentally, physically, and emotionally as a person and an artist. Dealing with countless setbacks musically, and in life lead me to an overall disconnect from those closest to me during that span of time. This song is my attempt to make an audible synopsis explaining everything that I had to conquer outwardly and within myself to get to this point where we all can celebrate those moments of struggle together.
The original version of “In All”, which is featured on Approach’s Aloe Park, is produced by Ohio super Producer Ill Poetic is conjoined with the Redux version supplied to your ears by Datura’s own Royce Diamond to make up this 2 song EP.
In most schools at some point children are assigned to write the obligatory essay based conceptually on which career path they will be taking once they reach adulthood. For the last 5 years Atilla has been formulating those words with the tedious patience and focus of a final exam. His submission comes in the form of his debut album, Strata: Type 1. Covering the various dynamics in the life of a young man, Strata is one part care free college student, with one part containing the “take on the world” ambition that sets the producer/emcee apart from his peers. The maturation process of the Kansas City native is evident as he explores both his journey and destination. If you’re wondering what you want to be in life,Strata may be that piece of the proverbial handbook you’ve been missing.

Released November 19th to considerable praise, enjoy the eclectic mix of new music brought to you by Datura’s fire breathing ambassador of destruction.
It would feel like after just listening to Louiz Rip’s debut album, Vestige Autonomy, that while looking for inspiration he may have been watching old Richard Pryor stand up sets while chewing on the gunpowder he poured in with his morning cereal. Needless to say Vestige Autonomy contains a mix of high-caliber comedic value and imposing lyricism throughout. The brutal landscape for the album is provided by fellow Datura Records producer Lemroc Evil. Every beat perfectly provides the canvas’ to splash the figurative paint mixed with the blood of the sacrificial pages that Louiz scribed his verses on. The first three singles, ‘End Of The Free World’, ‘Outta My Hood’, and ‘Interrupt’ are just a minute expression of the level of integrity that the album holds for listeners. And although, VestigeAutonomy, is Louiz’s debut solo album you will get a great sense that the rhymes and concepts are executed with the professionalism and vigor of an emcee with multiple projects tucked deeply under his proverbial belt.
The first single for Deuce Fontane’s upcoming release, Codename: Loser, is “Using Words.” Codename: Loser, Fontane’s Datura debut will be available November 19th for free.
